Ruby Who?

Who We Are:
A pair of red lips are not only hard to deny; they are very much classic yet rebellious.  The title of this blog was inspired by the notorious lip color and used to denote a voice for women and artistic expression. Denia Moreland created Ruby Woo Blog in 2011 in efforts to bring more attention to the fierceness of all things female.

Ruby Woo Blog is devoted to bringing you a conglomerate of insight, opinion, and news on all things fashion, music, and being female. We desire to inspire thought while providing news and commentary on popular culture, music, and anything relevant in the world of womanhood.

What We Do:
Here at Ruby Woo Blog, we report on fashion, music, and art as it relates to and affects those of the female persuasion, and society at large. We highlight women movers and shakers, innovators, pioneers, and activists. We also report on news and views concerning women and often from a feminist lens.

Why We Do What We Do:
Ruby Woo Blog was inspired and fueled after taking a course entitled Images of Women in the Media at Spelman College. During this course, we read about, discussed, and analyzed the representations of women in our community. This experience was the fuel for creating a blog that I hope you can call home.
